Apeiron-Team as experts on the sustainable use of chemicals supports the RADAR consortium with the development, implementation, and coordination of the SSbD assessment- for the RADAR project. Apeiron-Team also supports the project with the Human risk assessment part of the SSbD. We see the SSbD assessment as a key tool in avoiding regrettable substitutions by guiding the development of new chemicals in the development phase. We expect to contribute by identifying pragmatic approaches for the application of the SSbD framework in the research and development phase of new chemicals and new applications of chemicals.
